Not much depth or development there either. Very superficial treatment of PSTD, which was very disappointing. Don’t waste your time and money with this book. - 5.0 out of 5 stars from Kindle Customer -- So yummy. : You kind of knew what was coming with this story. The build up to this has been nerve racking. I have to hand it to Sloane she did a fantastic job writing their story. I was having a hard time debating feather to go ahead and read this story or wait until it came out on Audible. I broke down and ended up reading it. So glad I didnt wait. Finding out what King did to get his side of the money and crippling things he suffered and how he came out on top even stronger made the story even more amazing to read. So glad Gio time line was moved up for the story to be as incredible to get and read without feeling a like King was on the wrong path. These two were put through a lot of hell but was able to Persevere and continue to exist and move somewhat forward but it taking them to realize that they needed each other to complete themselves. Of all the brothers King was the most intriguing, quiet, often coming over as morose and distant, scarier and with secrets, so many secrets, like why did he disappear for two years? It was always obvious that he loved his family and always looked out for them but he turned his back on them for two years! Well now we know why and we learn of King’s struggles to “do the right thing”, he is nothing if not an honourable man but even honourable men have their breaking point. - 5.0 out of 5 stars from Inked -- Brilliant : This this the fourth book in the series. I really enjoyed the others but this book is …..the best of the best. It’s Gio’s story a few years after being reunited with his family after being kidnapped and abused. King is the one who sat with him night after night in the hospital even though Gio didn’t know he was there. It’s their journey even though King is convinced he should stay distant from the young man especially as Gio’s dad is Kings friend and who he considers a brother. She writes.her characters so tha the reader can fall in love. Gio has been seen in this series throughout the other books but it was wonderful to see him get his story and his happily ever after. - 3.0 out of 5 stars from SED877 -- An adrenaline filled ride but not as good as previous books : This is the first time I have been left slightly disappointed by a Sloane Kennedy book. Usually they are error free but I highlighted a few in this book, most noticeable of which was the use of “knowledge” instead of “acknowledge”. I wondered at one point if the entire book was going to be based in and around the flat with a cast of two and although I ended up enjoying the ride it was a much tougher read than usual. I will certainly read the next book, providing there is enough of an interval between releases;, in my opinion that shows that an author has spent time researching and proofreading before expecting me to spend money purchasing it.
